What to expect from silver wedding rings

Material

Sterling silver has a softer feel than gold when you handle it. The polished surface looks bright out of the box, but it will start to pick up fine marks with everyday wear. That change happens quickly, often within the first few days, and it is part of how the ring settles into regular use.

All of these rings are hallmarked through the Birmingham or London Assay Office, and all use recycled silver. They are CNC machined from solid metal rather than cast, which keeps the structure consistent across sizes. Ring profiles

Profile changes how the ring feels more than how it looks. A court profile is rounded inside and out, which reduces pressure on the finger. Flat court keeps a flat outer face but adds a curved inner surface, so it still feels comfortable while looking more defined. Flat profile rings sit flatter against the finger and have a more deliberate edge.

Engraving silver wedding bands

Sterling silver bands from 3mm to 10mm can be laser engraved on the inside. Most people go with a date or initials, but short phrases or coordinates also work well depending on the width. See our engraving information for the full options.

Sizing silver wedding bands

Width affects fit more than most expect. As the ring gets wider, it covers more of the finger and will feel tighter at the same size. That is why a 6mm ring can feel different to a 3mm ring even if both are technically the same size.
