10mm Wide Rings

10mm rings sit at the extreme end of wedding band widths. A 10mm band covers more of the finger than standard designs and creates a noticeably wider surface across the hand.

At this width the band surface becomes a prominent design feature. These rings come in tungsten and sterling silver, both finished in polished form.

Profiles include blended court, traditional court and flat profile shapes.

Together, the width, polished finish and defined profile shapes create a distinctly broad wedding band with a strong outline when worn.

About 10mm wide rings

Materials

Tungsten is a dense metal that gives a wide band a solid feel on the finger. The metal has a naturally grey tone and is typically finished with a bright polished surface on wedding rings.

Sterling silver provides a traditional jewellery metal option at this width. It has a bright white tone and produces a wide polished band with a noticeably lighter weight than tungsten.

For more detail on the metals used in wedding rings, our material buyer’s guides provide further technical information.

Ring profiles

Three profile shapes define the overall outline of these rings. Court and blended court profiles both have a curved outer surface, while a flat profile presents a straight exterior face with defined edges.

If you would like to understand how each shape sits on the finger, our ring profiles guide explains the differences between common wedding ring profiles in more detail.

We have also recently added blended court tungsten rings to the tungsten range, combining a more rounded interior than a standard court profile for added comfort on the finger.

Engraving

At 10mm wide there is ample space for engraving and a large number of fonts can be used. Because the band is very wide, the laser cannot always reach the exact centre line of the ring interior. The engraving therefore usually sits slightly closer to the reading edge rather than perfectly centred.

If engraving is planned, our engraving guide explains the process in more detail. Our ring engraving fonts page lists the full selection of available styles.

Wider choice at narrower widths

Although 10mm rings create a broad wedding band, the number of available designs at this width is limited. Slightly narrower bands expand the choice considerably.

Our 9mm wide rings offer a few additional options. For the broadest selection, the 8mm wide rings section includes over 60 designs across several metals and styles.

If you are still deciding what width may suit your hand best, the ring width sizing guide explains how different ring widths look and feel when worn.
