Shipping Restrictions and GPSR Statement

This page explains where Titan Jewellery Ltd can and cannot ship, and why certain restrictions apply.

1. Shipping to Northern Ireland

We do ship to Northern Ireland, but only to private individuals for personal use.
Because Northern Ireland follows EU goods rules under the Windsor Framework, we cannot send:
• trade orders
• wholesale orders
• orders placed by businesses or sole traders
• orders intended for resale
Personal-use consumer orders are still accepted and shipped normally.

2. We do not ship to the European Union

From 22 November 2024, we stopped shipping to customers in the EU.
This is due to the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), which took effect on 13 December 2024. The regulation places obligations on any business selling consumer products into EU countries.

To sell into the EU, a business must:
• appoint an EU-based authorised representative
• maintain technical documentation for each product
• provide material and safety testing where required
• include EU-compliant labels carrying the representative’s details
• supply documents to EU authorities on request

For a small UK retailer, the ongoing cost and administrative burden make compliance unfeasible.

3. Why we restrict EU sales

The main issues affecting us are:
• high cost of appointing an EU-authorised representative
• extensive documentation required for every product
• mandatory packaging changes to add EU representative details
• disproportionate compliance effort relative to our EU sales volume
We may review this position if the rules change or a realistic route for small businesses becomes available.

4. We do not ship to the United States

We also do not ship to the USA.
This is due to the level of customs documentation, import tariffs and compliance checks applied to jewellery items entering the United States. These requirements make US delivery uneconomical for us to manage.

5. Countries we currently ship to

We currently ship to:
• United Kingdom (including Northern Ireland for personal-use orders)

We do not ship to:
• European Union
• United States
• any country not listed at checkout
• Northern Ireland trade/business addresses (personal-use orders only)

6. Future updates

We will review these restrictions if regulatory requirements change or if practical compliance solutions become available for small retailers.
