Titanium Rings

Titanium rings are valued for their light weight, neutral colour and strength as an alternative metal for jewellery. These rings are made from Grade 2 commercially pure titanium, a hypoallergenic material widely used for rings.

Widths range from 2mm to 9mm, covering narrow women’s wedding bands through to wider wedding rings for men. Profiles include court, classic court, flat and comfort fit, alongside square and signet styles.

Finishes include polished, brushed and hammered designs. Some titanium rings incorporate additional details such as groove lines, Celtic patterns, puzzle structures and bark-patterns.

Choosing a titanium ring

The material

Profiles and finishes

Court and classic court bands have a gently rounded exterior, while flat profiles have a flat outer surface. Because the interior of a comfort fit ring is curved, the band can pass more easily over the knuckle when being put on or removed.

Square rings introduce defined edges along the outer profile, giving a more angular appearance. Signet rings broaden the top surface of the band, creating a flat area across the upper section.

Finishing methods also influence the overall look of the metal. A polished surface reflects light clearly, while brushed finishes show a fine linear grain across the band. Engraving

Titanium responds well to laser engraving. The process produces a clear black contrast against the metal surface. For this reason it is widely regarded as one of the best alternative ring metals for engraving, alongside tantalum rings.

Sizing

Titanium bands are difficult or impossible to resize once manufactured. Because of this, confirming finger size accurately before ordering is recommended. The ring width sizing guide explains how different widths affect the finger size required.
