Warranty & Guarantee Policy
Last updated: 30th March 2026
This policy explains the guarantees provided with our jewellery, what is covered, what is excluded and how guarantee assessments are carried out.
1. Guarantee period
All products supplied by Titan Jewellery include a minimum 1-year guarantee against manufacturing faults.
Some items include a 2-year guarantee, which is stated on the individual product page.
2. What the guarantee covers
The guarantee applies only to confirmed manufacturing faults. These may include:
• structural or material defects
• joint, solder or clasp failures
• faults within stone settings
• defects present in the metal itself
If a manufacturing fault is confirmed, we will repair or replace the item.
Replacements are supplied on a like-for-like basis. This means:
• no change of finger size
• no change of design
• no change of finish
• no change of specification
Engraved items replaced under guarantee will be re-engraved with the same text originally supplied.
3. Proof of purchase
A valid proof of purchase or order number is required for all guarantee claims.
4. Items must be returned for inspection
All guarantee assessments require the item to be returned to us for physical inspection.
Photographs alone cannot be used to determine a claim.
If the item is repaired, the original will be returned to you.
If the item is replaced, the original item will be retained by us.
Items damaged on purpose, or deliberately broken to obtain a different size or product, are excluded from guarantee.
5. What the guarantee does not cover
The following are not manufacturing faults and are excluded from guarantee:
• scratches, dents, marks or surface wear
• tarnishing (common on silver and other metals)
• dulling of polished surfaces
• softening or fading of brushed finishes
• wearing-away of surface coatings or cosmetic finishes
• wear caused by friction against other jewellery
• stretching or breaking caused by pulling or tension
• deformation or bending caused by impact
• loss of stones due to knocks, impact or pressure
• chemical damage from bleach, chlorine, detergents, perfumes, lotions, soap, salt water or acids
• fading or loss of black colouring within engraved areas due to wear or body chemistry
• resizing or requests for a different size because the item no longer fits
• lost or stolen items
• damage caused by incorrect storage (e.g. loose in a bag rubbing against keys)
• individual reactions to metals, soaps or skin chemistry
• any third-party resizing, polishing, plating, cleaning, re-engraving or modification
Normal wear and tear is expected during everyday use and is not covered.
6. Normal wear and tear
Jewellery will show visible signs of wear during normal use. These are not manufacturing faults and are not covered by the guarantee. Normal wear and tear includes:
• scratching
• dents and small impact marks
• dulling of polished surfaces
• softening or fading of brushed textures
• tarnish development
• cosmetic wear caused by rubbing or friction
• fading of blackened or coloured engraving due to body chemistry, soaps or cleaning products
The engraving itself will remain cut into the metal, but the dark colour may reduce over time.
7. No liability for consequential damage
The guarantee does not cover damage that our jewellery may cause to other items, including:
• clothing
• vehicles (e.g. scratches to paintwork)
• phones or electronic devices
• other jewellery worn next to it
Wear caused by contact with harder or softer metals is normal and not covered by guarantee.
8. No claims for sentimental or emotional value
We do not accept claims based on sentimentality, emotional attachment or perceived value beyond the physical item itself.
9. Third-party repairs and modifications
Any repair, alteration or servicing by a third party voids the guarantee. This includes:
• resizing
• polishing
• rhodium plating
• stone replacement
• ultrasonic cleaning
• re-engraving
10. Misuse, accidental damage and environments to avoid
The guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse or use in unsuitable environments. Jewellery is not designed to withstand high-impact or chemically aggressive conditions.
We strongly advise removing rings and jewellery in the following situations:
• weightlifting
• gym use and exercise involving equipment or gripping
• manual labour, tool use or heavy lifting
• contact sports or activities involving impact
• high-chlorine environments including jacuzzis, hot tubs, spa pools and swimming pools
These environments commonly cause:
• dents and deformation
• deep scratches
• stone loss
• rapid tarnishing
• accelerated wear to finishes
Chlorine, heat and cleaning chemicals can quickly damage metals. Damage from these sources is not covered.
11. Making a guarantee claim

A decision can only be made after the item has been inspected.
If a manufacturing fault is confirmed:
• repairs are free of charge
• replacements (if required) are supplied on a like-for-like basis
12. Consumer law
This guarantee operates alongside your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Nothing in this policy affects those rights.
